Re: A proposal for addition to HTML 3.0: Frames

1.  What is the difference between <FRAME>, <EMBED>, <IMG>,  
<APPLET>, and <FIG>?  (other than that the last two have end-tags)

2.  What is the difference between <FRAMESET> and <TABLE>, given  
the latest additions to the <TABLE> spec that support rapid layout?

The Web will not benefit in the long run from tag Balkanization.   
I'd rather see one general (nestable) linking element with proper  
use of link relations and presentation hints, and one general layout  
system designed to work well in both incremental and paged  
settings.
