Peter Blood was a 17th Century Soldier-of-Fortune turned physician, resigned to a quiet life in England, until he was arrested while tending a wounded acquaintance on the night of a rebellion. Despite his innocence, Blood was sent to the British colony of Jamaica to work as a slave. Ignored during an attack by the Spanish, Blood led his fellow slaves to capture the raiders' galleon and escape.

Captain Blood quickly became the most feared buccaneer in all the Carribean, and yet demanded a strict moral code be practised among the crew where the taking of women was concerned.

Blood's cunning and gentlemanly reputation are based on real life buccaneer Captain Morgan. The character Captain Blood is from the Sabatini novel of the same name, as well as the classic 1935 film starring Errol Flynn. The movie is available on video.

What does the cap'n do in real life? By day, a mild-mannered Customer Relations Manager for a growing ISP in New York City. On many evenings he might be found tutoring a new subscriber in Windows or the wonders of the Internet.

But the Capt's main thang is creativity. Having trained in commercial art, traditional character animation, and film history (focus on silent comedies & early musicals), the captain always has something going. He's also a writer, which accounts for his excessive gab in chat (well, it ISN'T called "chat" for nothing!).

Captain Blood maintains many homepages, including one for his continuing comic book series, and the only existing site for screen legend Errol Flynn. Capt has also successfully hosted an IRC channel for over two years.

Captain Blood came across the Internet version of Acro on its original IRC channels on Thanksgiving 1996, and found it to be pleasant and relaxing until channel politics reared its ugly head. He relishes this new version of the game, and plays often. When you enter the room, you'd better get down to the business of acro, or you're liable to get the Cap'n sore enough to walk you off the plank!

When the Capt isn't busy tossing lamers overboard or building homepages, he can be seen doing any of the following:
